In the jade-cultivating climes of online rock journalism, the angle of “band has new album,” is about as interesting as watching Instagram reels of your brother-in-law’s recent bathroom remodel.
But when a band decides to follow up their last album from over 26 years ago? That’s high on testicular fortitude and as dumb as fidget spinners. Then you learn that said band is the Jesus Lizard – and everything in your pathetic cultural dystopia suddenly falls away and the air smells like Heaven…
Due to popular demand, a second night of The Jesus Lizard added.
’One of Turkey’s biggest alternative rock bands of the past two decades, Gripin started life as a cover band in Istanbul bin the mid-90s, playing songs of well-known British, American and Turkish rock bands.
With a cult following, Birol Namoğlu (vocals), Murat Başdoğan (guitar), Arda İnceoğlu (bass guitar & keyboard), and İlker Baliç (drums) decided to release their own material.
Gripin’s first studio album, Hikayeler Anlatıldı [Stories were Told], dropped in 2004, bringing the band to the wider attention of the music industry.
Three years later Gripin released their self-titled, critically claimed, second album. The 10-track album featured duets with popular Turkish indie stars: Ferman Akgül from maNga, Pamela Spence, and Emre Aydın.
Two singles from the new album dominated the Turkish charts in 2007: Böyle Kahpedir Dünya [This World is a Harlot] and follow-up Sensiz Istanbul’a Düşmanım [I Hate Istanbul Without You] – with guest performer Emre Aydın joining Birol Namoğlu on the vocals.
The album’s producer Haluk Kurosman is behind the successful sounds of many Turkish pop-rock stars of that era, including maNga, Emre Aydın, Vega, and Göksel.
The album bagged Gripin numerous awards and its reputation grew beyond Turkey’s national borders. Since then, the band has undertaken six USA tours, two Australia tours, and countless European tours and concerts.
Three further studio albums have followed the chart-topping Gripin: MS. 05.03.2010(2010) and Yalnızlığın Çaresini Bulmuşlar (2012), and Nasılım Biliyor musun?(2017) and reworkings of existing material. The band are currently focusing on exclusive projects to mark their two decades in music.
Expect a sensational concert at The Button Factory as the band represent their biggest and best loved hits of the past 20 years. The gig is promoted by Goblin Events.

Bold and outspoken Chicago rapper CupcakKe has achieved viral success and critical acclaim with her brazen, unapologetically explicit songs and videos that channeled the likes of Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, and Gangsta Boo. Her work explores sexuality in graphic detail, and while many of her songs are humorous and playful, she has more serious, introspective material that deals with sexual abuse ("Pedophile"), racial issues ("Picking Cotton"), and LGBTQ empowerment ("Crayons"). She debuted in 2016 with a pair of raunchy EPs and a full-length, Audacious, following with the critically acclaimed Queen Elizabitch (2017) and Ephorize (2018).
Elizabeth Eden Harris was born in Chicago in 1997. At the age of 14, she began writing religious-themed poetry, performing in local churches. She started turning her poems into raps and uploading them to YouTube, receiving thousands of views. In late 2015, inspired by Khia's hit "My Neck, My Back," she decided to write sexually explicit material. The videos "Vagina" and "Deepthroat" appeared and quickly spread on the Internet like wildfire. Both songs appeared on her debut mixtape, Cum Cake, in February 2016. S.T.D (Shelters to Deltas), named for Harris' years spent in homeless shelters, followed in June, and the studio album Audacious arrived in October. The releases received praise from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, MTV News, and numerous hip-hop websites.

Foggy Notions Presents: MIKE
The Button Factory, Thursday 27th February 2025
General Onsale: Wednesday 23rd October at 10:00
MIKE is a quintessential old soul. The 24-year-old artist’s wisdom is
evident in both his calm delivery and measured questioning. Known for
introspective, subtly profound rhymes that explore grief, family, and
identity, and melt over muffled, soul-seasoned samples, MIKE’s newest
record, Burning Desire, is his biggest to date: both in length, but more
so artistically. For the first time in his career, MIKE truly reaches
outside of his immediate circle for collaborators, pulling in everyone
from Larry June to Liv.e to Lila Ramani (of Crumb) to Earl Sweatshirt
and more. The beloved rapper has come a long way from making waves in
underground hip-hop circles with the [sLUms] collective formed in New
York in 2015. Since, he’s released numerous critically celebrated
albums, earned Pitchfork’s Best New Music accolade twice, and toured
with artists like Blood Orange, Earl Sweatshirt, The Alchemist, and
Freddie Gibbs. Burning Desire sees MIKE confidently step out as the
leader of a new movement within hip hop, as he breaks through the
ceiling of the underground and introduces the style of rap he originated
to a wider audience. If anything is certain about this next chapter for
MIKE, it is that it will be on his own terms.

Welcome to the world of Sorry. A band whose warped melodic sounds blur the lines of genre conventions and their two critically acclaimed records, 2020’s 925 and 2022’s Anywhere But Here have led to a devoted following on both sides of the Atlantic. Comprised of Asha Lorenz, Louis O’Bryen, Campbell Baum, Marco Pini and Lincoln Barrett, Sorry have been creating groundbreaking music since they were teenagers and have become the favourite band of everyone’s favourite band.
Their carefully curated pick-n-mix approach, combined with elegantly executed visuals, has led them to become one of the most vaunted bands in recent memory. The band has received praise from Dazed, The Guardian, Pitchfork and NME whilst also appearing on numerous BBC Radio 6 playlists and performing at all major festivals.
In 2024, the band returned with their new single “Waxwing”, a delightfully twisted track laced with a sense of foreboding, with towering synths that wouldn’t have sounded out of place on classic sci-fi soundtrack. The track received critical acclaim and points towards a bright future for the band in 2025 and beyond. Before then, they will be supporting Fontaines D.C. on their fully sold out tour of the UK and Ireland, giving crowds an early opportunity to hear what is on the horizon for Sorry.

Foggy Notions presents: Panda Bear - Button Factory, Dublin - May 31st, 2025
Panda Bear, the solo project of Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox, announces his new full-length Sinister Grift, due out February 28, 2025 on Domino. Lennox recorded the album at his Estudio Campo in Lisbon, Portugal and co-produced it with his Animal Collective bandmate Josh Dibb. Today he shares the album’s first single “Defense,” which features Cindy Lee, the drag queen pop persona of Canadian musician Patrick Flegel, on guitar.
Sinister Grift is available for pre-order on limited-edition Clear vinyl (Domino Mart), Curacao Blue vinyl (indie exclusive), standard LP, CD, and digitally. All LPs include a double-sided 12”x36” poster. Also available for pre-order on the Domino Mart is a limited-edition Sinister Grift shirt. Domino Mart | Digital
Two decades since debuting as the masked-and-nicknamed drummer and vocalist of Animal Collective, Noah Lennox has led so many creative lives, navigated so many different styles, and been part of so many beloved recordings, that it can be easy to overlook just how consistent his creative vision has remained. From landmarks solo albums like 2007’s Person Pitch and 2015’s Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper, to breakthroughs with Animal Collective like 2004’s Sung Tongs and 2009’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, to his boundary-pushing collaborations with Daft Punk and Solange, Dean Blunt and Paramore, all of his work followed an instantly identifiable emotional throughline while influencing multiple generations and genres of artists.
On Sinister Grift, Lennox’s first solo album in five years, he has returned with another statement that feels equally cumulative and unprecedented in his catalog. While his solo records have ranged from starkly intimate expressions of grief to colorful, electronic opuses, his music has never before sounded so warm and immediate. Working in his Lisbon, Portugal home studio with Animal Collective bandmate Josh “Deakin” Dibb, Lennox transforms Panda Bear into something resembling an old-school rock ensemble, playing nearly all the instruments himself and inviting kindred spirits into the process such as Cindy Lee, Spirit of the Beehive’s Rivka Ravede, and—for the first time on a Panda Bear solo album—each of his Animal Collective bandmates.
“Working on this record felt like a sacred and warm return. Noah and I first started putting music down to multitrack cassette in 1991. 32 years later and working in the same fashion, two friends alone in a room searching for sounds and feelings that move us, I am very proud of what we created together. Sinister Grift feels like the songwriter I've known for over 30 years but also feels like some sort of new chapter for Noah. Couldn't be more proud of the result.” - Josh “Deakin” Dibb
“A classic rock dream that ebbs beautifully into a little bit of a nightmare.” - Daniel Lopatin
“Noah has the ability to be incredibly concise in his songwriting. Feels like every idea, every word and every sound is there to serve a purpose - the purpose being the actual song. Sinister Grift has that all-timer feel to it, as if the songs have been around for decades and at the same time full of fresh new light as though they’re pointing forward.” - Maria Reis
"In these dark times we all need music to get through life. Panda Bear has the magic, his voice feels like the medicine to heal this world. Noah has given us Sinister Grift, I feel relaxed and the beach doesn’t feel far away. Merci Noah for the gift.” - DJ Falcon
“Sinister Grift is a beautiful album. Everything sounds authentic and natural, as if it has always existed and will continue to do so. True and timeless. Thank you Noah.” - Alan Braxe

Have A Nice Life formed in the early 2000s when its two primary members, Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga, were studying at the University of Massachusetts. With the aim of crafting "oddly
aggressive acoustic songs," the duo spent five years meticulously constructing their debut LP, Deathconsciousness, a 2008 release that rippled across the post-punk landscape.
Deathconsciousness is now hailed for its anguished subject matter and unwaveringly lo-fi production, and it is considered an experimental cornerstone. The album's haunting themes and complex soundscapes resonated deeply with listeners, leading to a cult following that grew steadily over the years. The record's unique blend of post-punk, shoegaze, and industrial influences set it apart, earning critical acclaim and a lasting legacy in the underground music scene.
In 2014, Have A Nice Life released their follow-up album, The Unnatural World, which continued to explore the dark and introspective themes of their debut while further developing their distinctive sound. Their third album, Sea of Worry, released in 2019, saw the band incorporating more diverse musical influences and refining their production techniques. Sea of Worry blends elements of goth rock, post-punk, and shoegaze, delivering a more polished yet equally intense listening experience. The album tackles themes of existential dread and anxiety, resonating with listeners through its powerful lyrics and immersive soundscapes.
Have A Nice Life's live performances, though rare, are highly anticipated events, characterized by their intense energy and the duo's ability to translate their complex studio work into powerful live renditions. Despite maintaining a relatively low public profile, Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga have cultivated a dedicated fan base and continue to influence a new generation of musicians drawn to their uncompromising artistic vision.

Gang of Four have announced their final North American Tour labeled ‘The Long Goodbye’. The band – touring as Jon King (vocals), Hugo Burnham (drums) and David Pajo of Slint (guitar) will say farewell to fans across North America and Europe in 2025.
The show will mark a celebration of the band’s live performances. The iconic debut album ‘Entertainment!’ is still as relevant, exciting, and influential as ever. After 45 years, the band will play the album front to back, followed by a second set filled with fan-favorites and hit songs.
As pioneers of the post-punk movement, Gang Of Four’s music favored tense rhythms, percussive guitar, and lyrics that traded in Marxist theory and situationism.
“2025 will be the 45th anniversary of the release of ‘Entertainment!’ in the US, and will be our final year as a band. It’s been wonderful, but all things must end. We want to go out with a bang and celebrate with our fans and friends. So, on what will be our last US tour, we’ll play two sets at each show: ‘Entertainment!” from start to finish in the first, and the best of the rest in the second. Come and join in, it’ll be a blast!”

DAYSEEKER embody what a rock band can be in the 21st century.
Untethered from rules and agnostic of genre confines, the Southern California quartet—Rory Rodriguez [vocals], Gino Sgambelluri [guitar], Ramone Valerio [bass], and Mike Karle [drums]—exist outside of any and all boundaries. As such, they seamlessly absorb culture at lightspeed, layering hypnotic hard rock and metallic catharsis above soundscapes punctuated by glistening post-pop, experimental indie, and alternative R&B.
Tallying hundreds of millions ofstreams, selling out shows, and earning acclaim from the likes of Alternative Press and more, the band crystallize this outlier vision on their 2022 fifth full-length offering, Dark Sun [Spinefarm Records]. “Overall, it feels more grownup,” observes Rory. “It’s less like we’re scene kids trying to be a rock band, and we’re actually a group of guys making rock music on our terms. We realized we were happier creating this way.”
