CURVEBALL: RICHARD YOUNGS WITH KATIE G.O’NEILL
Initially a rare live performer, Richard Youngs now embraces the stage.
Born in Cambridge and raised in the Fens, Richard Youngs began making music at the start of the seventies. His early work centred on the family piano. When this was sold in the late seventies, however, the classical guitar and cassette recorder became his instruments of choice, along with anything at hand that made a sound. From then on he has played any number of roles with bands such as Astral Social Club, Concrete Hedge, No Deserts, Jandek and Future Pilot A.K.A. Recent collaborative work with Andrew Paine, Heatsick, Kawabata Makoto and John Clyde-Evans also show him as a highly social musician.

Casual Choir was established by choir director Róisín Savage, for anyone who wants to sing in a choir that doesn't take itself too seriously or those who just can't commit to a weekly choir rehearsal.

CURVEBALL: Directed By Her Wrap Party
A celebratory night of film, music, and community to close the Directed by Her Film Festival in style.
The Wrap Party is a celebratory, supportive space to connect and collaborate. The event will feature FLINTA pop-ups and a DJ set from The GALPAL Collective. The wrap party will be curated as a space primarily for women, Black women, women of colour, FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, agender) to network and celebrate the end of the festival, but all are welcome!

After witnessing a rapturous Oh Sees concert in Dublin city centre in late 2019, three old friends from school were lamenting about having never been in a band. They went quiet and looked at one another, as the slow realisation dawned on them that all three were in fact musicians. The decision was made there and then that they would unite to make genre-bending, face melting, gut punching guitar music.
