Wu Lyf
WU LYF was always better left unspoken, experienced rather than discussed. Words killed it. You just had to feel it.
Holy F-
At a time when even entire classic rock bands are being AI generated, Holy Fuck are now more relevant than ever. The Canadian quartet have forged their reputation for making electronic music with a human touch. The intoxication they inspire comes not from cold, staid perfection, but from the ragged energy that comes from four musicians relishing sharing a moment.

Expansive and slow burning in its progression, the track unfolds through layered instrumentation, expressive vocals and a steady, chugging rhythm that carries it forward. There is a cinematic quality to its world building, drawing on fragments of science fiction and folk imagery, all threaded through the feeling of a long, open-ended road trip.

Alex Cameron
In New York City on his thirteenth birthday, planes fell from the sky and crashed into the World Trade Center. This had nothing to do with Alex Cameron. He wasn’t there. He was in Australia. By the time the planes hit, it wasn’t even 9/11 anymore. It was 9/12.

Underscores
Origin stories reenact familiar myths; this one begins with a kid alone in a bedroom, trying to make something no one has heard before. Hailing from San Francisco, Filipino-American artist April Harper Grey started making music as underscores in middle school, when years of noodling around on GarageBand culminated in the realization that, if taken seriously enough, this whole “trying to be like Skrillex” thing might amount to something great.
