Galia Arad, an American singer/songwriter based in Dublin for the last 9 years is back to the Irish music scene stronger than ever, after taking a creative hiatus to focus on writing and music production. Coming from a background of classical training she was catapulted into the world of rock โ€˜nโ€™ roll touring the USA, Ireland, England (supporting Jools Holland & Marc Almond), and Japan (where she not only gigged, but was the first place winner of a sake chugging contest and runner up of a wet kimono contest.) As if that wasnโ€™t impressive enough - sheโ€™s previously been the winner of Songwriter Hall of Fame's Abe Olman award for Excellence in Songwriting, and winner of The Great American Song competition. In 2018 alongside Bono, Cathy Davey, Loah and the rest of Street Lights, she recorded the Irish charity cover โ€˜Homeward Boundโ€™ and is known for catching the attention of one of her music idols, Shane MacGowan (The Pogues), who wrote the liner notes for her sophomore album "Ooh La Baby", and who also features throughout.

Her performances are unforgettable, and she is truly an astounding performer as well as a โ€œfucking good songwriterโ€ (according to guitar legend Marc Ribot), which has taken her to great heights including past performances at Glastonbury Festival, Royal Albert Hall and Kew Gardens, as well as Irish staples at 3Arena and Convention Centre (opening for Jools Holland), National Conert Hall and Roisin Dubh (supporting Jack L), and Dublinโ€™s infamous Ruby Sessions. Her music online has garnered nearly half a million streams, with little or no publicity team around her.

Raised in Indiana, Galia moved to Ireland via New York City and is making her triumphant return to the Irish music scene, where no doubt she will be welcomed with open arms upon hearing her stunning recent single โ€˜Lionโ€™s Denโ€™ released earlier this year.

A COVID compliance officer will be on site at all times. All staff will wear masks, as well as a one way system in place for guests entering the venue and for access to the bathrooms.
All tables and surfaces will be wiped down and sterilised before and after each show.

Contact details for each person/group will be taken at the door, for contact tracing purposes and temperature checks will be carried out with each customer upon arrival.
