THUMPER are a critically lauded noise-pop sextet from Dublin with a penchant for bubblegum pop channeled through a wall of sonic death. Originally stemming from a lo-fi bedroom project written and home-produced by frontman Oisin Leahy Furlong; following 3 self released E.P. cassettes, word of mouth drew in festival performance opportunities which lead to the inevitable formation of a live band. After some initial personnel changes, the full band line-up gradually solidified to become a cohesive collaborative unit. The first full studio outing of the band was produced by Daniel Fox (of Girl Band) in 2018, translating the project's original lo-fi aesthetic into a fully 'widescreen' representation of the band's raucous live sound on the salient E.P. 'Out of Body Auto-Message'. Since it's release, and following widespread coverage of it's 3 single releases, 'AFL', 'Down' and 'In My Room' on online platforms, various high profile UK / Irish radio stations, and Spotify playlists alike; the band has been steadily growing in renown, also featuring prominently in Irish industry showcases HWCH and Ireland Music Week as well as Other Voices Live RTÉ broadcasts.
