The Bohemian present: Alceu Valença for the first time in Dublin!

In the repertoire, hits spanning generations: “Anunciação”, “Belle de Jour”, “Tropicana”, “Coração Bobo”, “Como Dois Animais”, “Girassol”, “Táxi Lunar”, among other hits by Alceu. The show also features themes by Luiz Gonzaga (“Pagode Russo”, “Baião”, “Vem Morena”) and Jackson do Pandeiro (“O Canto da Ema”).

With a 45-year career, Alceu participated in the Montreux festival six times (between 1982 and 2008), three times in Rock in Rio (1985, 1991 and 2017, the latter with O Grande Encontro), in addition to having sung on stages of England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Argentina. In 2019, Alceu toured the USA and Canada, highlighting the Summerstage, in NYC.

“The essence of my music is absolutely Brazilian, from the Northeast. My identity comes from forró, frevo, baião, xote, embolada. And it is exactly these genres that I will present on the various stages of the tour ”- anticipates the artist.
