In the picturesque streets of Galway, something extraordinary began to pulse in 2013.

Eight musicians — eight souls with roots stretching from Latin America to the land of the Celts — came together to create a kind of music that had never existed before.
It wasn’t salsa.
It wasn’t Irish traditional music.
It was something entirely new — a vibrant, living fusion they called Salsa-Trad: a joyful celebration of cultural and musical mestizaje.

Drawing from their diverse multicultural backgrounds and their shared affection for their adopted home, Baile An Salsa began to weave Afro-Latin beats with Irish melodies and lyrics in English, Spanish, and Irish.
The result?
A deep, joyful, and liberating musical fiesta where nobody can stand still.

From their first EP to their acclaimed album Ériu, produced by five-time Grammy winner Walter Flores, Baile An Salsa has set stages alight around the world — from Dublin’s Temple Bar TradFest to the Philadelphia Folk Festival before crowds of over 100,000 people. They even had the honor of performing for the President of Ireland.

But beyond the awards, the charts, and the standing ovations, their music carries a powerful message: the beauty of diversity, the strength of unity, and the universal language of rhythm and melody that connects us all.

Cuando la salsa cruzó el océano y abrazó Irlanda… Baile An Salsa nació.
En las pintorescas calles de Galway, algo extraordinario comenzó a latir en 2013.

Ocho músicos —ocho almas con raíces que se extienden desde América Latina hasta la tierra de los celtas— se unieron para crear un tipo de música que nunca antes había existido.

Desde su primer EP hasta su aclamado álbum Ériu, producido por el cinco veces ganador del Grammy Walter Flores, Baile An Salsa ha encendido escenarios alrededor del mundo —desde el TradFest de Temple Bar en Dublín hasta el Festival Folk de Filadelfia ante multitudes de más de 100.000 personas. Incluso tuvieron el honor de presentarse ante el Presidente de Irlanda.
