Huartan

  • Button Factory Curved Street Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland (map)

Huartan | The Button Factory | 30th October 2026

This Samhain, Huartan will play their first ever headline gig in Dublin.

Belfast’s trad-electronic band Huartan bring their otherworldly live show to the Button Factory.

Through bold reinterpretations of at-risk Irish language songs, their mission is to connect contemporary audiences with the oral singing tradition and native language of Ulster. Rooted in decolonial and anti-capitalist ideals, Huartan’s live shows channel a mythical pagan Ireland, with performances that are unsettling, theatrical, and politically charged. As in previous years, the spirit of Samhain pushes Huartan to new levels. This year will be no exception and it is not one to be missed.

Winners of BBC Introducing: Artist of the Year 2025 and NI Music Prize’s Live Act of the Year 2024.

“Huartan have been one of the key voices in a serious ‘realignment’ of modern Irish music and culture - Hot Press

‘When you hear Huartan, you start to wonder why people haven’t been putting Irish traditional music and electronica together more: there’s an element of trance about both when done right’ - Dig With It
