11 years ago THUMPER started as the solo moniker of lead singer and songwriter Oisín Leahy Furlong. After releasing 3 bedroom recorded tapes that circulated around Dublin between 2015-2018, the project morphed in a full six piece collaborative unit - first releasing the Dan Fox produced studio EP Out of Body Auto-Message (2019) before releasing 2 highly acclaimed albums: their debut, Choice Music Prize-nominated Delusions of Grandeur (2022) and their acclaimed sophomore album Sleeping With The Light On (2026). 

The incendiary live 6-piece have toured Ireland, the UK, and Europe extensively becoming regulars on the festival circuit appearing at the likes of Electric Picnic (IE), All Together Now (IE), Other Voices (IE), Mad Cool (ESP), Reading & Leeds (UK), Iceland Airwaves (IS), Haldern Pop (DE), Rock For People (CZ), Eurosonic (NL), Reeperbahn (DE), United Artists Prague (CZ), and many more.

The band has received extensive press support (Clash, Dork, The Line of Best Fit, New Noise, Punk News, Hot Press, Nialler9, Distorted Sound, Goldenplec, Louder Than War to name a few) and international airplay across BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, Radio X, KEXP, Kink, Kerrang! as well as Irish stations such as RTÉ Radio 1, 2FM, Today FM, Beat102103 among others. They have also made noteworthy TV performances on RTÉ’s Tommy Tiernan Show and Other Voices, and secured numerous Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlist placements and cover features.

On October 25th THUMPER will play their final show at The Button Factory, Dublin.
