We are overjoyed to announce Dublin as part of the 50th anniversary tour of Ilê Aiyê, the first carnival Afro-Bloco movement in Brazil, which will take place on Thursday the 4th of July in the Button Factory in Temple Bar.

llê Aiyê bring their whole spectacle with strong drum rhythms matched by dancing, singing and beautiful costumes. The pioneer on the blend of carnival and activism in Brazil has not only made a mark on history but it also continues to be an inspiration for the Black diaspora and the generations to come. This show will give you shivers and take you on a special journey to carnival in Salvador de Bahia, the blackest city in the world outside Africa.
