The Jaguars UK annual Summer Player Tour kicks off this month with fan and community events taking place in three cities across the UK and Ireland.
We are delighted to welcome Linebacker Foye Oluokun, 2024 Pro-bowl selection Ross Mastick and Jags Hall of Famer and UK regular, Tony Boselli. We are also hopeful of announcing a special guest on the tour too, so watch this space!
The players will board a bus for part one of the road trip around the UK making the first stop in Bristol where is a fantastic American Football fandom and our first live event on Friday 21st June at SWX, a fantastic venue in town. The fan event will be hosted by Sky Sports Neil Reynolds, who makes the evenings casual and interactive with facts, chat and games, and a lot of fun – his banter with Tony B is also great to watch!
On Saturday 22nd the players will join a BAFA contingent of budding players who will be put through their paces, not only by the attending players and alum but also by Ben Koyack, joining us for this leg of the tour to add his coaching expertise to this group of talented young players.
From here the Bus heads straight off to Manchester where the players get to explore a little bit of this great city, and home to two of the biggest football (soccer!) teams in Europe.
Sunday morning starts with another interactive community event, this time in conjunction with one of our primary partners AO, who have lots in store for the youngsters who’ll be taking part in a huge JagTag activation and a celebration of our partnership.
This is followed by an early evening start at Shooters Bar Manchester, where Neil Reynolds will again take to the stage to deliver another fun evening of entertainment for Jaguars fans and NFL aficionados from across the north.
The final leg of the tour sees that players take the short flight across the sea to the beautiful Island of Ireland. Monday June 24 is the final Live event of the tour and is at the Button Factory, Dublin which is a great venue in the lively Temple Bar and Neil will take the players through their paces with the fans for the final time this summer.
After a well-earned day off the final activity takes place on Wednesday 26th June with more community activity involving young people of all abilities enjoying the Jaguars very own version of Flag football.
Meeting fans, participating in community events, and seeing the sights, it promises to be another memorable trip that everyone is looking forward to enormously. And what’s more, the proceeds from Tour ticket sales will go directly to our Union Jax Foundation and directly help deliver more JagTag and community engagement activities all over the country.
