At TradFest 2024, get your dancing shoes on and join the floor at the Pride Géilí. The Pride Céilí band will provide the music, the Trad is Amach céilí caller will walk you through the dances, and the craic will begin! Special guest musicians, singers and dancers will add extra sparkle to a great night.

The TradFest Pride Géilí is hosted by Trad is Amach, the LGBTQ+ trad collective, and Dublin Pride. This is an inclusive event and everyone is welcome for a night of great music, dancing and craic.

History: The Pride Géilí is an integral part of the Dublin pride festival annual celebrations. Many members of the LGBTQ+ Trad is Amach community, and their allies, have played and danced at the annual Dublin Pride Céilí or “Géilí” for over 20 years. In recent times, the Pride Céilí Band has played at the Cultúr Club St. Patrick’s Eve festival at Collins Barracks, and for thousands at the Pride Géilí in Merrion Square for Dublin Pride 2023. Dublin Pride and Trad is Amach also presented a concert of LGBTQ+ artists and groups at TradFest 2023, including Seolta, Amach is Amach, Kit Knight and the Pride Céilí Band.

Community: Trad is Amach is a community of LGBTQ+ trad musicians, singers, dancers and followers. The group organise music sessions, céilithe, concerts and gatherings to foster an inclusive trad community and celebrate LGBTQ+ artists in Irish traditional music and dance.
