"Puma Blue processes [his] pain with a hypnotic tenderness" - Billboard
Puma Blue won widespread critical acclaim with the release of his debut LP ‘In Praise of Shadows’ in early 2022. Described by NME as “a brief moment of relief for those lost in the darkness” the album found his storytelling at its most honest and vulnerable to date whilst his production reached new heights, retaining its characteristic bedroom intimacy.
Portishead, D’Angelo, Björk, Radiohead, J Dilla, Burial and John Frusciante are citing as some of Puma Blue’s biggest influences. His live shows are well regarded and often repeat-attended, performing with a band of close friends from home and blending jazz-influenced improvisation with a vocal energy often likened to Jeff Buckley.
Puma Blue has frequently collaborated with his friends & peers, such as Biig Piig, Lava La Rue & long time confidant Lucy Lu, honing his sound between intimate live shows and late-night producing sessions.
